App privacy

EspansoEdit does not collect, use or share personal data of any kind. It does not use any form of telemetry. The Help menu includes some links that open a web page on the Espanso or EspansoEdit site. It also includes an option to check for an update. The cookbook includes some links to sites with Espanso examples and related discussion. The file ‘EspansoEdit.ini’ in the program folder is used to store app settings, which include the pathname of one or more folders with YML files.

Website privacy

No personal data is collected, used or shared from visits to the EspansoEdit website. Messages received through the Feedback and contact page of the website are kept as email correspondence. An alternative means of contact is available through the EspansoEdit channel on the Espanso Discord server.

The EspansoEdit website contains links to other Espanso-related websites. No assurance is given regarding the privacy policy of those sites.

The number of times EspansoEdit is downloaded is monitored, but only as a simple total of clicks. No personal information is solicited for downloads and no data is collected on the source of clicks.
