EspansoExpress

EspansoExpress is a GUI match editor that is integrated with EspansoEdit. The graphical interface can be used any match that does not include forms or variables. Any match that is too complex for GUI editing is displayed as read-only text, and can be opened in in EspansoEdit with one click. There is two-way communication between EspansoExpress and EspansoEdit, so that changes made in one program are detected in the other.

EspansoExpress is aimed at users who prefer a GUI to a text editor. There is a graphical dialog (match builder) in EspansoEdit in which you can generate pieces of Espanso code to use in a text editor. EspansoExpress is quite different in that it provides a graphical interface for live edit of matches in a match file. The simple use case for EspansoExpress is direct editing of match files without forms or variables, as it can handle these on a standalone basis. Another use case would be where most of the matches in a match file do not contain forms and variables, as EspansoExpress would minimize the need for a text editor.

EspansoExpress can be used to create and maintain match files. However, the GUI editor is currently limited to matches that do not include forms or variables.
